Chesterton Academy is a model for neo-classical high school education rooted in the Catholic liberal arts tradition. The pilot school in Minneapolis, MN asked us to refresh their brand to reflect the spirit of G.K. Chesterton and the Catholic Faith that inspires the curriculum. They would use the new branding to establish a strong identity, attract more students, and grow a national school system.
We developed new in-depth brand guidelines for Chesterton Academy to consistently present the brand promise of a joyfully Catholic classical education.
We refreshed their logo system to evoke the Catholic classical tradition through a modern style.

We prepared assets to cover letterheads, business cards and mailing envelopes. Then to get the ball rolling, we created a full brochure and information guide.
The new brand image combines the formality of a classical academy with the warmth of Chesterton and his Catholic faith.
By following our brand guidelines, Chesterton Academy can maintain this identity by matching color palettes, typography, illustrations, photography and other design patterns across its print and online media.
There are now over 30 academies in the Chesterton Schools Network. Thanks to our updated designs for logos and house shields, students experience their school as a community with purpose and character. And with consistent brand assets, every new Chesterton Academy promises a joyful learning environment while communicating clearly: We know what we’re about.
